The Issues
Housing Affordability
Ensuring access to affordable housing—whether through rental units, starter homes, or addressing the ‘missing middle’ — is essential for all Illinoisans to thrive. I will advocate for preserving existing housing stock and investing in innovative solutions that make housing attainable for families across the state.
Strengthening the Education System
While House District 48 has made great strides in supporting strong schools, gaps in funding remain. Closing them would enable a ‘whole child’ approach—expanding services such as mental health, special education, and financial literacy — while reducing reliance onlocal property taxes.
Protecting Healthcare Access
Access to healthcare is under attack at the federal level. By leveraging revenue from booming industries like data centers, modernizing the tax code for working-class relief, and closing corporate loopholes, we can build a resilient state where healthcare is protected as a fundamental human right.
Increased Economic Mobility
By improving affordability for Illinois families, all the way from expanding access to childcare to supporting small business successes - we can create breathing room for working families while growing our economy.
